Ready To Question Yourself?

Only he who is ready to question,
to think for himself,
will find the truth

-Nisargadatta Maharaj

Welcome to April, and for us a wet Canadian spring. The cycle of life continues and the earth or "interplanetary vehicle of choice" as I recently heard it described, renews herself.

How about yourself? Are you ready to renew yourself? Do you even try?

You have the choice to, in every moment. To be the same you, that you are now, or to question yourself, think for yourself and find the truth within you. There is nothing out there that will be of benefit, unless you choose to put stock into it.

We like to deceive ourselves into thinking that certain practices, rituals and religions will help us find that truth. Perhaps you may think that. Perhaps you feel that certain books or specific people hold the answers that you seek, and therefore justify seeking their company or council.

Regardless of how we choose to paint the path that we believe leads to the truth, our truth lies within us, beyond the gates of questioning ourselves and thinking for ourselves, beyond our own self-knowledge.

Whatever you believe to be true, is most definitely true for you. Your beliefs are your faith and your faith is your connection to All That Is. Not faith in only the spiritual, but faith in any of the puzzle pieces making up your reality.

Remind yourself to ask better questions of yourself always. Build on the work you have done so far or simply start where you are. Often I liken this path to climbing a mountain without seeing the peak. We don't see that peak, because there isn't one. Yes, the journey is it.

Books, rituals, alternative anythings, all have a place, if you want them to. If they have value to you, then exploit it as much as you wish. Never stop asking questions of yourself or permit someone or something else to do your thinking for you. No book has the same connection to All That Is, that you do, here and now.

A gentle reminder to keep on, keeping on.

Thanks for the reminder, Mikel! Sometimes it's easy to think that we will find answers in external places. I wonder why it's so hard to look in the closest of all places, ourselves?

I like the site, as well as the way you write. Thanks for taking the time to put this up.

It's a nice reminder that I'm not the only person in the world seeking to understand life and spirituality on a more intimate level - and willing to break loose from our social "structures" and "guidelines" in the quest for this knowledge.

I hope you don't mind, I'm adding you to my blogroll.

Sophia, the only source is the one within, the only connection we can ever have is through us. How we perceive that is open to interpretation, to our own unique view, but it is common to us all. Thanks for visiting.

Tim, we are all connected. The illusion is that we are seperate. Choosing to live in dichotomy seems to be the easiest place for me - we are all one, yet when I look at myself, I am seperate, yet I am not. Thank you for stopping by.
