Acceptance: The Divine Voice Within

"Our lives improve only when we take chances ... and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves."

~ Walter Anderson

Our Divine Inner Voice: Within each of us lies our own personal, tangible connection to All That Is. Most of us have experienced this, in fact all of us have yet many simply do not recognise what is right in front of them or are presently incapable of accepting the truth. Have you ever looked for the butter in the fridge endlessly, only to find it was right under your nose the whole time? Exactly.

If our personal connection to the Universe can be likened to a pure beam of white light that is ever-present, we each have different filters that can color and obscure its qualities. Ego, fear, duality, self-judgement, attachments, past experiences; these and more create imperfections in our view, our reception of the divine voice we all have access to.

Progress, although inevitable for us all, can be delayed also by our relations. Not having friends or family that appreciate the path of light and growth, can leave you feeling alone in your journey and thoughts. Thankfully with the Internet and our ability to use it for sharing instantly, our opportunities for learning to accept the divine voice within are greatly increased.

Opportunities and information aside, there is no growth without going through a learning curve. Although we are all different, we are part of the same race, we have the same equipment for processing growth and becoming competent in the benign and the divine - the Four Stages Of Learning describes how we all achieve this, in easy to understand language. Knowing how we learn improves your ability to recognise the stages you are at in all areas.

Plato said that the first and noblest victory is conquering the self ... or be conquered by it as Napoleon Hill would add. Accepting your personal Divine connection, your own "Conversation with God", is integral in conquering the self. Accepting that you have the assistance you require available to you, in taking each step of your journey, is the first part in trusting that personal phone line with the divine voice within you.

Defeating your self, your ego is not the goal. The ego is still required to participate in a reality that is connected with other ego-based entities... people. Attachment to the ego has been discussed here before and will be again, but for now suffice it to say that you do not need to be an Ego-Warrior, simply reach that point within you at which you allow your ego-bsaed attachments to reality to subside into the background.

Give your spirit a chance to come to foreground, by choice, rather than chance. As the learning model teaches us, strive for conscious competence in acceptance, amongst other things. When you reach that place within you at which you accept your connection to the Divine, the All That Is, consider these questions.

Can you truly accept your part in All That Is?

Are you able to accept that you can live this connection 24/7 if you choose?

What attachments are holding you back from being consciously competent in all that is?

For each of us, our journey is indeed our own. There is no other that can travel the path you have chosen, but there are certainly those that can and will smooth the path. Ultimately we are all headed in the same direction as a race. Whichever way you choose to justify the "voices in your head" - your connection to the divine, is your own. Cherish it, nurture it, be grateful for as "you sow so shall ye reap."

Love n Peace
