In our travels through this life, disconnection can be a challenge, either seen or one that can creep upon you and in the very next moment without realizing it, you are not in the same soul space you were moments before.
I once read a fiction work in which a young boy met an alien, who wanted to return to visit him. The alien asked the boy his address and he replied such and such street in this and that town.
The alien in turn reminded him of his true address, being such and such street in this and that town, going further to add the continent, planet, solar system and galaxy that he was from, forever changing the boys perception of his place in this world.
Sometimes we forget our full address, or even dissociate with who we truly, actively distancing ourselves from that which we know to be true at deeper levels. After all, if the ego must live, and it must to function in our world, then it can take hold at times and face us outwards rather than inwards.
I have the blessing of living outside of town in the countryside. My evening time view is a sky full of stars, the moon shining brightly and dimly seen aircraft racing across the planet. I savor dissolving my thoughts and feelings of the day into the galaxies and stars that I know are there, in profound massive numbers. Seeing them over the net via Hubble lets me imagine the species we have yet to contemplate, the unending beauty that the universe has conjured and contemplate our future place as a united race amongst the stars....
Then I turn my back, and head in to watch the news and soldiers dying on both sides in wars that make no sense......
Remember your full address, you are worth it.
